Most of the us believe cotton is the nicest fabric, it is undoubtedly. “as soft as a
cotton”, “as pure as a cotton” all these slogans catch our mindset, don’t they? But
Did you know that clothes made of cotton – and cotton is far from being environmentally friendly. Thankfully, there is a solution to that problem: bamboo!
* Bamboo needs nothing more than sunlight and rainwater to grow. There is no need for artificial watering. Cotton needs on average of 8,000 litres of water to grow a single kilogram of cotton.
* Bamboo can grow with the help of insecticides or fertiliser. cotton is responsible for no less than 11% of all pesticides and 25% of all insecticides used in the world.
*Bamboo, After cutting, the fast-growing plant continues to grow new shoots, as its roots remain in the ground. Approximately 10 times more bamboo can be
produced per square metre than can be produced using cotton plants.
